Unforced Error by Mark Roberts

Imagine a genetically modified wolf...

Zumaya Otherworlds published this book and sent me a copy for review (thank you).  It's currently available in your local bookstore.

Wolves have always intrigued me, and thought of having one for your protector caught my attention when I read about this book.

Mr. Roberts has a strong, quick writing style that creates a smooth flow from beginning to the end of the story.  His characters are strong people who will do what it takes to accomplish their goals.

Carl is raising and training Yukon, the wolf.  They make a mean team, but he travels a lot of lonely land on his expeditions and it's good to have a warrior worthy companion.

His trouble begins when he stops to have breakfast one morning and Yukon finds a dead man on the other chopper in the yard.  All of a sudden the other men on the base are using him for target practice.  He and Yukon run, but the saboteurs aren't about to let either of them live to testify...

This is a science fiction/fantasy tale, but it sounds like it could happen here and now.  Greed is the largest motivator in the world.  This is a cloned world, but the same demon occupies the men of the cloned world, too.

I think there may be more from this author about Carl and Yukon.  There was a romantic interest beginning by the end of the book.  I'd like to see more of them both.  I'm hanging on to my copy of this book.  Why not find you a copy at your local bookstore?

Happy reading!
