Everfound by Neal Shusterman

Imagine taking over someone's body and making them do what you want them to; that's what skinjackers do.

Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers sent me an ARC of this book for review (thank you).  It has just been published and you can pick up a copy of Book 3 of the Skinjacker Trilogy at your local bookstore now.

This story is full of conflicting interests, strange people with odd powers, and good and evil.  It begins in Everlost, where Mary is in a glass coffin aboard a train.  Her minions are gathering souls for her so that when she wakes they will be ready to do her bidding.  But while Mary sleeps, other events are taking place and it turns into a race to stop Mary's plans.

One of the more interesting characters in the story is Jix, who is a fur-jacker and a spy for the Mayan King.  Of course, the Chocolate Ogre is a very different character, too.

Young ones will be fascinated by the author's odd characters.  The plot flows well, the story is interesting, and I'm sure that those who have read the first two books are probably drooling a bit to get their hands on the last book.  Why not pick up a copy and surprise them?

If you would like my ARC, please comment here on the blog and then send me an email at info @ bookfaerie (take the spaces out) with your name AND address and tell me why you'd like to read it.  I'll pick a winner in about a week.
