A Dog-Friendly Town by Josephine Cameron

His parent's own a dog friendly bed and breakfast.  He's the dog walker for one nervous dog and he enjoys it.  He's also going to a new school when summer is over and he's not sure about that.  He also  has a little brother and sister he's supposed to watch and keep out of the guests way.  This summer isn't really relaxing...

Farrar, Straus and Giroux and Net Galley let me read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published August 4th.

They have a famous St Bernard come to stay with his owner and trainer and his little sister, Elvis, is ecstatic.  She watches his show and loves him.  The boys are less impressed.

Then they get another group of dogs who also are stars.  They are labradoodles and the children are not excited about them.

They find that a famous jewel thief is in the area.  There are a lot of jewels floating around the shows taking place.  They'll have to keep their eyes open.

When the jeweled collar disappears from the dog's neck, everyone panics.  Elvis admits she took it so her dog hero can find it and be in favor again.  The only problem is someone else found it first...

So who stole it?  The cop isn't making much progress, so the children decide to investigate themselves.  Will they find it?  Will they identify the guilty party?  Who could it be?  There are so many suspects...
