Berlin Noir by Thomas Wörtche

These stories are even deeper and meaner than the other two books I read in this series recently.  Even with the wall down, it appears hatred still survives.  These stories are definitely dark enough for noir.

There are brand-new stories by: Zoë Beck, Ulrich Woelk, Susanne Saygin, Robert Rescue, Johannes Groschupf, Ute Cohen, Katja Bohnet, Matthias Wittekindt, Kai Hensel, Miron Zownir, Max Annas, Michael Wuliger, and Rob Alef. Translated from German by Lucy Jones.

Of these, more stood out to me than in the previous books.   Several caught my attention:  "Kaddish for Lazar" by Michael Wuliger, "One of These Days" by Robert Rescue, and "Dog Tag Afternoon" by Rob Alef.  The last one noted was the best.  These all came from the Berlin Scenes section of the book.

All the stories were interesting.  Which ones were your favorites?
