City of Ink (Li Du Novels #3) by Elsa Hart

Li Du is living a quiet life working as a secretary for his ex-brother-in-law.  Then he gets involved in a murder case that draws him out of himself...

Minotaur Books sent me an ARC of this to read for review (thank you).  It will be published August 21st.

It looks like a straightforward case.  The two were having an affair, the husband came home drunk, and they were dead.  But it wasn't that easy of a case.  Li Du knows there is more to the story and he begins his own investigation.

It will bring him a lot of answers as well as some painful memories of the past.  These deaths lead high into the hierarchy and make the truth hard to say but Li Du does what he must.

This was a fascinating tale, give it a try.
