I'm a cat person. I have two Bengal cats we both love (they picked their humans) and they're charming, amusing and keep you entertained. So do the ones in this story!
Sourcebooks Jabberwocky and Edelweiss allowed me to read this book for review (thank you). It will be published June 5th.
A little girl heads out to go fishing. When she gets in her boat, the cats follow her. They're no help. They eat her bait, try to nap on the oars, shred her sails, and when it seems like they've done all the damage they can, they manage to turn over her boat. The bad news: She might be a sailor and a fisherman but she doesn't know how to swim...
The cats gang together and save her and that's just like a cat. They frustrate you, get in your way and play with things you don't want them to but they also love you and will help protect you.
If you have cats in your family, your family will love this book. If you don't, I bet your child will still really like this story. It's great.
