Don't look for anyone nice in these stories. They are wicked, mean and scary stories. And I read every one...
Anchor and Edelweiss gave me the opportunity to read this book for review (thank you). It will be published on October 3rd.
If you're looking for a book that will get you in the mood for a scary Halloween, this one will do it. These stories chill and might even make you a bit ill. This is the dark side of horror.
Here's the list of stories:
“With Graveyard Weeds and Wolfbane Seeds” by Seanan McGuire
“Dirtmouth” by Stephen Graham Jones“
”A Small Taste of the Old Country“ by Jonathan Maberry
”Wick’s End“ by Joanna Parypinski

”A Flicker of Light on Devil’s Night“ by Kate Jonez
”Witch-Hazel“ by Jeffrey Ford
”Nos Galen Gaeaf“ by Kelley Armstrong
”We’re Never Inviting Amber Again“ by S. P. Miskowski

”Lost in the Dark“ by John Langan
”The First Lunar Halloween" by John R. Little
The one that haunted me the most was "All Through the Night" by Elise Forier Edie. You have to feel sorry for the pregnant widow. The story about the man who made a deal with the devil and then fooled him was also very good. But he should have remembered a deal is a deal...
I'll be remembering these stories for a long time. They're the kind that pop into your mind here and there. If you enjoy ghosts, devils and evil beings, this is the book for you!
