Her name used to be Beth. When her world fell apart and her father was accused of being a serial killer, her name brought her nothing but trouble. They called her a murderer and worse. She's moved on, has a new life and a new name. Bex is even beginning to make new friends at school and she likes the new couple that took her in. Then she gets a note to let her know her missing father has found her...
Sourcebooks Fire and Net Galley allowed me to read this book for review (thank you). It will be published July 1st.
This is a scary tale with lots of psychological manipulation by her father and by the cop who is still looking for him. She wants to believe her dad and he wants her to go away with him. She's not sure she wants to do that. She has a boyfriend she really likes and her new life is good. But she does miss her dad.
Bex learns a lot things in a short period of time. She's with people she can trust now, they are willing to protect her, and she even answers the question of who was really killing all those girls. She's changed but it's definitely for the better. The ending was perfect.
