Long Tail Kitty by Lark Pien

Here's a graphic novel written for young ones.  As you can guess, it's about a cat with a long tail.  I have a Bengal that has a very long tail, so I could relate to the story.

Blue Apple Books and Net Galley allowed me to read this book (thank you).  It was published in September, so you can grab a copy now.

The stories are simple and almost boring but the illustrations make up for it.  You can follow Long Tail Kitty through the tall grass by watching his tail move.  He visits with bees, goes ice skating with Good Tall Mouse, and even entertains aliens without a flinch.

There is a lot of detail in these illustrations and it would be great fun to read again and again and see what else you find.  It's also a kick to see what else Long Tail Cat will encounter and how he will react.  There are several tales in this book, so your child can see him in action more than once. This would make a good bedtime book.  Just read one story each night.
