Is your cat crabby? Have you ever thought about why?
Egmont USA and Net Galley allowed to read this book for review (thank you). It will be published January 6th and would be great for any cat lover.
This is written for younger readers as a beginning chapter book. Hissy likes having his own way. He can't seem to manage that in his own household. He wants to sleep. The youngest boy likes to bother him. The father does carpenter work and is pounding hammers all day. Even hiding doesn't work out. And the girl doesn't know how to pet him right.
If you haven't learned this yet, here's a hint about cats and their cheeks. They don't want them scratched, they want them rubbed. It feels good and you're rubbing their scent all over your hands so other animals will know you belong to them. Try it and they'll purr for you.
Hissy even tries to go visit the neighbor's cat where there is a silent house, but even that doesn't work out. Poor Hissy Fitz. It takes a minor crisis to make him go home where he belongs. Maybe everyone will be quieter now. If not, he's going to sleep anyway.
