Fairies in My Fireplace by R.L. Naquin

Zoey's home is a haven for monsters.  What kind of monsters?  You won't even be able to imagine how many kinds there are!

Carina Press and Net Galley allowed me to read this ebook for review (thank you).  It was published September 2nd, so check with your local bookstore for a copy.

I really enjoy a good fantasy with humor, some romance, fantastic characters and action.  This book fills that need and was a fun read.

Zoey is an Aegis and she must protect the Hidden: magic creatures humans don't see, like fairies and the monster in your closet.  The only problem is that all the Aegis have vanished and Zoey is the only one left.  Her house is big, but not big enough for all the Hidden coming to hide.  There's trouble out there and the Hidden's instinct brings them here for safety.

When some of the Hidden Zoey was protecting were stolen from her property, she's bound and determined to get them back.  And, while she's at it, she intends to look for her Mom.  She's one of the missing Aegis and Zoey needs some help as well as needing her Mom.

The danger is great, she's protected by two soul takers and her Hidden family, but she's the ultimate weapon.  The confrontation had me sitting on the edge of my chair.

I'm glad to see there will be another book in this series.  It's a fun read and I want to see how much more trouble Zoey can get in.  She seems to be a trouble magnet.  Trust me, you won't be bored if you read this book.

Happy reading.
