Alright, I'll admit I have a soft spot in my heart for the Cat in the Hat. How can you not like a silly big kitty with such a flamboyant hat? So I was pleased to see this new story featuring him.
Random House Children's Books sent me a copy of this book for review (thank you). It has been published so why not pick up a copy to put under your Christmas tree?
This story is based on a television script by Karen Moonah and is illustrated by Joe Mathieu.
The story begins with a Christmas celebration at home on Christmas Eve. As the party is winding down, Ralph the reindeer asks if someone can help him get home. He lives far away in cold Freeze-Your-Knees.
Thus begins the most adventurous journey. The Thinga-ma-jigger is just not working right and they end up landing all kinds of places and meeting more animals sharing the Christmas spirit. Will they get Ralph home to go on the ride of Santa on time? You'll have to read the book to see.
It's silly, fun, and will feed your child's imagination. Those are all good things, especially at Christmas time.
Happy reading.
