Never-Ending Night by Tanya Stowe

Stacy is war damaged.  She's a photo-journalist that goes into the war zones and takes incredible photos of heartbreaking death and damage.  She has another wound even deeper than that, but she doesn't talk about it.  And now a man she loved has been shot down just because he was following her and supporting her in her work.  Will she ever be able to get past that?

The author and Goddess Fish Blog Tour shared this ebook with me for a review (thank you).  It has been published, so check with your ebook suppliers to get a copy.

This story grabbed my interest when it mentioned the main character gets involved with a ghost.  I don't do a lot of ghost stories, but this is a "ghost" from the civil war.  I wanted to see how the ghost from the past could adjust to present time and I was intrigued to see how she would resolve the ghostly issue.

When Stacy goes to a Civil War reenactment, she finds even taking pictures of the war game makes her shake and feel and uncomfortable.  As she finally relaxes and starts to take the photos needed for a news article, she suddenly realizes the man coming out of the smoke fog has a real injury.  He's been hit or shot in the head and is bleeding profusely.  She immediately goes to his aid.  She was froze as she watched the man next to her die in the war zone; she was NOT going to let this man die.

The author makes this story much more complex than I expected.  That makes it much better to read.  With a mix of history and present time and psychiatrist who wants this fellow for further study and whatever money he can make from this "specimen", to mixed war remembrances and wounded hearts, you'll be following along the story and worrying about both main characters.

Ms. Stowe manages to smooth out the edges of an impossible romance and give you an interesting ending, too.  I enjoyed this read, why don't you try it?

Tanya will be awarding a print copy of her Inspirational historical, Tender Touch, at each stop (US only - eBook copies will be substituted for international winners). A grand prize of ecopies of the first 4 books in the Heart's Haven collection will be awarded to a randomly drawn commenter during the tour, and a $10 Amazon GC will be awarded to two randomly drawn hosts.

Follow the tour and comment; the more you comment, the better your chances of winning. The tour dates can be found here:

Happy reading!
