The farmer has too many birds around and his crops will be devastated by their feeding. So he builds himself a scarecrow!
Ms. Lemon sent me a copy of this book for my review (thank you). It has been published so you can get a copy now.
In the morning there are no more birds around. The farmer is ecstatic. Now he can plant his crops and get a good harvest. The scarecrow doesn't share how he got ride of the birds. (He ate them.)
He's the eating-est scarecrow I've ever seen. He steals food from the other animals. He'll even take it out of their mouths!
The farmer gets new cars, a new house, goes dancing with important people and enjoys himself. He decides to have a big party for the animals with an all you can eat buffet at the end.
All goes well until the scarecrow shows up. He eats everything! But he's going to be sorry.
The ending is the best part of this book. Read it and see...
