Then Memphis Charles shows up. Her hands are covered in blood and she tells him someone has slit the throat of her roommate. She wants him to find the killer.
He's trying but then he gets kidnapped off the street by a group of thugs. She thought they were friends of hers but she's decided not. He escapes by killing one of them.
Then he's hired by the dead woman's brother. He wants to find the roommate. He accuses her of the murder.
As he slogs through the police, the thugs and the brother, he eventually gets the answer, but it' not nice...
