Leeva at Last by Sara Pennypacker, Matthew Cordell

Leeva is a little girl whose parents ignore her.  Mom wants fame, Dad wants money.

Balzer + Bray and Edelweiss let me read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published on March 7th.

She sneaks out of the house and travels about meeting people who like her.  As she makes friends, she's happier.  But she gets caught by her mom and is confined in the house.  She doesn't like that and runs away.

Then she finds out the money her father collected is not his...  She develops a plot to steal the money back and give it to the people it belongs to.  That works.

She doesn't go go back to her parents.  In time they move on and she takes over the house.

She has friends and a home and likes her new life...
