The Easter Chick by Geraldine Elschner, Alexandra Junge (Illustrated by)

The chicken has a most beautiful egg, but it's not hatching.  Then the chick inside tells her it wants to hatch on Easter.

North and South Books and Edelweiss let me read this book for review (thank you).  It has been published so you can get a copy now.

The chick wants to know when Easter is.  The chicken goes to find out.  None of the other farm animals know but she gets referred to the owl.  The owl does know and she says she will call her with one hoot to give her more information.

There is more than one meeting and the chick gets involved.

This would make a great Easter present!
