Black Beauty went through many owners. Some were very kind and some were mean. As you read the story you will see why sometimes Black Beauty despaired.
The illustrations are beautiful and you see how Black Beauty was treated. The good news is the last place that bought him had a familiar person taking care of the horses. It's a nice ending after he had been so mistreated by some of his owners.
