He's a T-Rex, the biggest, baddest dinosaur around. He bullies everyone and loves to chase them. What more could he want? How about a friend?
Museyon and Net Galley allowed me to read this book for review (thank you). It has been published, so you can buy a copy now.
Ms. Miyanishi writes very nice picture books for little ones. The illustrations are colorful, there's a lesson in the story, and they're quickly read. They would work well for bedtime stories.
When the big boy finds a dino who lives in the ocean and starts chatting with him, he finds out that he has a bad reputation as a bully so he doesn't admit that's him. Being incognito lets him make his first friend.
The friend in the water gets hurt by a nasty fish and the T-Rex takes him home to care for him. On the way, he admits he was the bully on land. The injured dino tells him no, "the true you is kind."
Everybody needs friends. It's especially nice to find one that believes in you.
