Scholastic Press sent me an ARE to read for review (thank you). It will be published March 7th.
Hazel is being sent to America to make money to send home to her family.
She asks a lot of questions and thinks she may become a journalist.
She doesn't anticipate trouble but the ice burgs in the ocean causes the ship to sink. She has friends but only women and children can be saved.
She spends too much time trying to find Charlie. But one of the passengers grabs her and sends down to the lifeboat below.
Now they have to get away from the ship or they will die, too.
Do they manage that?
