Lily to the Rescue: The Not-So-Stinky Skunk W. Bruce Cameron, Jennifer L. Meyer

Lily is going with her girl and the father to gather up prairie dogs and move them.  The only way to catch them is to vacuum them up!

Starscape and Edelweiss let me read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published September 29th.

While they are vacuuming up the prairie dogs, Lily goes sniffing out all the strange animal smells.  She finds a black fuzzy animal with some white stripes and she's pleased when it presents its butt for her to sniff.  However, the humans are not!

They immediately grab Lily and take her down to give her a bath at the lake.  That gets exciting when they find Lily can't swim.  Eventually her father notices that no one stinks.  Then they have to find the skunk because she won't survive in the wild.

Lily follows her scent and locates her.  Then they take her to the rescue facility to get her checked out.  She doesn't have any scent glands.  But they do find a safe place for her to live so it all works out well.
