The Forest Queen by Betsy Cornwell

Her brother has always been a bully and mean but she's been able to avoid him.  Now the King is is ill and he's appointed him sheriff.  With him ruling the lands, everything will go to chaos soon...

Clarion Books and Edelweiss allowed me to read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published August 7th.

She runs with her friend from childhood and a pregnant girl from the village.  The forest is more friendly than the castle.  She tries to leave the past behind but it won't leave her alone.  Soon it becomes a battle between her and her brother.  He has more warriors and money, her people are devoted to her.

It's a hard, tough battle with no one winning outright until the end.  Her life has totally changed.  Here's hope for a bright future!
