Darcy by Whitney Sanderson

This the 10th book in the Horse Diaries series.  This author does an excellent job of writing from the horse's viewpoint.  You also learn a lot about the horse breed without even trying.

Random House sent me a copy of this book for review (thank you).  It has been published, so check with your local bookstore for a copy.

Set on an island in Ireland, this is the story of a Connemara pony.  It begins when she's a foal and carries on through her life cycle.  She's a workhorse, dedicated to her family and full of pride at her heritage and strength.  She can even win a race against a thoroughbred if she takes a different route...

I find this series enjoyable to read and full of authentic horse lore.  If you have a young horse lover in the family, they will love these!

Happy reading.
