The Boy Who Tried to Shrink His Name by Sandhya Parappukkaran

This boy has a real long name.  He wants an easy name so the children at school will like him.

Abrams Young Readers sent me a copy of  this book to read for review (thank you).  It has been published and you can get a copy now.

I thought my maiden name was hard (Stajduhar) but this one is worse: Zimdalamashkermishkada.  Try saying that a few times.

He met a girl who didn't make fun of him and he likes her and she likes him.  They get along fine.  But when the children make fun of him, she manages to take care of it.

He's lucky he has a good friend!
