Jak Barley, Private Inquisitor and the Case of the Really Annoyed Viper Mages by Dan Ehl

This author writes great fantasy books that are full of action with a bit of romance.

Mr. Ehl sent me a copy of his book to read for review (thank you).  It has been published and you can get a copy now.

It's a good thing Jak has friends or he wouldn't be alive.  The Viper Mages are after him.  He's on a case of trying to figure out how a keg of pixie dust became rocks when it was protected by spells.  He has to take care of the Viper Mages first.  They have big plans for how to torture him.

Lorenzo Spasm, his friend, is with him as well as his love.  And a stranger with yellow eyes helps, too.  He also gets the help of witches with his sarcastic remarks.

It's a very busy book with lots of action and you wonder if he will make it.  He even figures out the other case while fighting the Viper Mages.

You don't need to worry about being bored...
