The Ways We Hide by Kristina McMorris

She's entranced by Houdini and creates her own escapes to show to audiences.  She has a partner who takes all the glory but she enjoys the tricks.

Sourcebooks Landmark sent me an ARC to read for review (thank you).  It will be published on September 6th.

She does it with joy but then the military notice her and then come and recruit her.  They want her to do escape aids to thwart the Germans.  She agrees but doesn't realize how dangerous it will be for her.

The stories told of escapes are based on real escapades.  That's enough to give you shivers.

Will she survive?
