Death on Lily Pond Lane by Carrie Doyle

Antonio owns an inn and is the chef.  She loves putting new recipes together.  She's also taking care of a couple of houses for folks who only spend part-time in the community.  When she goes to one of the houses, she senses something wrong.  She's right.  There's a dead body waiting for her...

Sourcebooks and Edelweiss allowed me to read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published August 25th.

The body was of a young reporter who was trying to make a name for himself.  He was going to expose the sins of the rich and famous in town.  Someone didn't like that but which one was it?  And the film is missing...

Since Antonio found him, she starts asking questions.  She feels the cops aren't doing enough.  It doesn't take long for her to get in trouble.  The rich don't like questions.

Then an elderly lady dies.  And an ex-wife of a moneyed man is found dead.  She increases her snooping trying to stop the deaths.  But she gets too close to the truth.  Soon she has a knife to her throat with a killer on the other end. Will she be able to stop him?
