These are not cozy mysteries. Some of them are nasty and there aren't any happy endings.
They are short stories that read well.

There are fourteen stories. You never know how they are going to turn out, but you know it won't be happy.
It was an interesting read. Austin has a lot of bad people and most are in this book...
