Caprice by Coe Booth

There is a lot of drama in this story.  The family is not close, and Caprice has been molested.

Scholastic Press sent me an ARC of this book to read for review (thank you).  It has been published and you can get a copy now.

When Capice was four, she and her mom were asked to leave the grandmother's house.  It put a break in the family and only Grandma and Caprice knew why.

As years passed, they didn't visit family.  Then Grandma got ill and almost died.  They went to visit.

Caprice was worrying about what school to go to.  She had friends at both.  But she doesn't make it to the school she chose.

While visiting he grandmother, her mother's brother shows up.  He reaches out and grabs Caprice and she goes to pieces.  Now folks find out what he had done to her...
