Vira is the one who finds the dead wife. Then she hunts for the missing child. The child and the dog get along well. But soon she goes missing again.
The child is brave and survives the various places she's taken. The dogs look for her.
Her father shot himself. She has no parents left. No one wants to tell her.
With cops, dog handlers, and Russian killers, it gets pretty sticky. You don't know who is going to live and if the child will ever be found.
