A Man Called Horse by Glennette Tilley Turner

This is a piece of history not everyone knows.  The Indians lived in white man's territory for a while.  The slaves integrated with them and soon you had black Seminoles...

Abrams Young Readers sent me a copy of this book to read for review (thank you).  It has been published and you can get a copy now.

The Indians moved where the white men wanted them but the promises made never happened.  The didn't get the land and the food.  They didn't retaliate though.  They just found their own place to live and hunted for food.

The Indians were not treated well and that's sad.  This book features the leaders in the tribe and what they accomplished.

Even today, the Indians don't always get treated well.  Everyone is a human being and all should be treated equally.  Hasn't happened yet.

This is a piece of history that is fascinating.
