Crack the Code (Glock Grannies Cozy Mystery Book 5) by Shannon VanBergen

Nikki goes out with friends her age to do some geocaching and manages to find a dead body.

Fairfield Publishing shared this book with me to review (thank you).  It has been published and you can get a copy now.

The dead man had many enemies, he was not a nice man.  He also had affairs.  Trying to find his killer will take some work.

He looked like he had been snake bit but he was injected with venom and had drugs in his system that he never took.

Owen, Nikki's cop friend, is having a hard time checking things out, but he warns her not to get involved.  Like you could stop the Glock Grannies...

They find the women that had slept with him, while they are getting messages in code.  Owen helps them figure out how to decode them.  The messages are short and succinct.

Then Nikki cries on a another man's chest and Owen sees her and leaves.  How can she help solve a murder if Owen is mad at her?  Then she finds out he's applied for a job in another state...

The grannies are the ones who find the killer, mostly by accident.  And Nikki and Owen make friends again.

These are fun reads.
