The Lonesome Bodybuilder: Stories by Yukiko Motoya (Author), Asa Yoneda (Translator)

These stories are haunting.  Once you read them you won't easily forget them.

Soft Skull Press shared an ARC of this book with me for review (thank you).  It is will be published November 6th.

A wife takes up bodybuilding and changes her body  dramatically.  Her workaholic husband doesn't notice.

A young boy makes fun of the men carrying umbrellas until he finds out they enable them to fly away...

Nothing in these stories is normal.  The author adds weird little twists or touches of paranormal to most of the stories.  That's what makes them memorable.  Want to stretch your mind?  This book will do it!
