Edgar will not let his little sister in his treehouse. He will NOT!
Gibbs Smith sent me a copy of this book for review (thank you). It has been published, so you can get a copy now.
This rhyming story was inspired by "The Fall of the House of Usher" by Edgar Allan Poe. It's not a scary picture book, but the house does fall.
When Edgar's little sister won't go away, he gets irritated. She can scream, cry all she wants, it doesn't matter. She sneaks in the treehouse and a battle ensues. She gets knocked out the door but Edgar saves her. Then a storm shows up. Lightening hits the tree and their treehouse falls.
The cutest part of the story is how they rebuild the treehouse (it looks awful!) and how even sisters are allowed in now. After all, Edgar's sister brought cookies. No one could stay mad at her for very long.
