On the Day I Died by Candace Fleming

He's driving fast, heading for home before he's late.  When he almost runs over a girl walking, he stops to check on her.  She's wet, missing her shoes, and she wants to go home.  He takes her home and she disappears...

Schwartz & Wade sent me an ARC of this book for review.  It went on sale July 10th, so you can find a copy at your local bookstore now.

These are truly "Stories from the Grave".  I found this an interesting read because all the stories were in different time periods and had very different tones.  Some were horror, some were unfortunate deaths, some were suicide, but all had a tale to tell.  There are lessons to be learned in these stories.

Mike finds the girl in a graveyard, along with other ghosts from the past.  He ends up staying all night listening to their stories so they can finally be at rest.

It's not really a scary story, but it will stick with you for a while.  And the subtle messages are worth retaining, too. Why not see what you can learn from these tales?

If you'd like my copy of this ARC, please leave a comment here on my blog and email me at info at bookfaerie.com with your name and address and why you would like to read it.

Happy reading.

Definitely NOT my kind of read, even the offer of the possibility of a free book is not enough to entice me. I do love that you read such a variety of books and share them with us.

This sounds like an interesting read! Who wouldn’t want to read something a little unnerving with a message or lesson to be learned?
