The Witch and the Tsar by Olesya Salnikova Gilmore

This is a magical tale of Russia.  It's fantasy and I enjoyed it!

Ace and Edelweiss allowed me to read this book for review (thank you).  It has been published and you can get a copy now.

This is an interesting tale that takes place over several years.  She is a witch (Baba Yaga) and cannot stand the death that the Tsar spreads across the land.

She is not interested in men but then she meets one that grabs her attention.  She even marries him.  Then she finds herself pregnant.

While this is going on, she also fighting with a woman who inspires warfare.  She is surprised when she finally recognizes her.  But she is determined to get rid of her.

Life is not easy in Russia and she will have to work with her daughter to win.

You won't be bored...
