Cliff and Amelia attempt to help the police all they can.  They interview another guest who introduced the dead woman to this bed and breakfast.  He said they had an argument and he slept in his own bed that night.  She's divorced from an abusive husband but they don't think he did it.  So they keep looking...

The killer was a surprise to me.  I never even had them on the suspect's list.  

I enjoyed the investigation by the cops.  They are smart and determined.  This was not a long read but it was a good mystery.  This is the prequel to a series, so you can read more about these characters in the future.  I enjoyed it.
