Tayra's Not Talking by Lana Button, Christine Battuz (Illustrated by)

This was a different story.  Tayra is a new student, but she doesn't talk to anyone.

Kids Can Press and Edelweiss let me read this book for review (thank you).  It is being published today.

She gets in trouble but won't explain anything.  She draws pictures to apologize.  Her teacher thinks when she has gotten used to the class and their routines, then she will speak.

In a little bit, she fits in and shares her thoughts by actions.  Will she ever speak?
