I Am a Cat by Galia Bernstein

The cat meets the wild ones, and they don't believe he is a cat.  They point out all their differences.

Abrams Appleseed shared this book with me for a review (thank you).  It has been published and you can get a copy now.

The cat is small but he insists he's a cat.  As the others point out their characteristics, he waits.  And then he shows them his attributes which match theirs.

They accept him and they all play together.
