Bear is so excited. He got a pretty yellow kite and he doesn't wait, he starts flying it right away. It goes high as he runs. Then he circled around and headed through the woods. It was fine and good fun until this kite got caught in a tree. How would he get it down?
Tate Books sent me a copy of this to be reviewed (thank you) It will be published April 9th.
Bear is lucky enough to have a bird friend who gets the kite out of the tree but she takes off with it. When he sees it again, it's part of her nest. He lives right next door to the nest, so he can watch the children grow and see how safe her home with the kite addition.
He doesn't feel sad about losing the kite. He had his fun. And now he has new bird friends who visit with him. Friends are better than kites...
