It starts with one murder but soon becomes three.  The cops jump into action but there are different jurisdictions and the chief is crabby.  Much of the story has the chief on her case...

Net Galley and Bookouture let me read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published on Oct 6.

It's  complex case with a lot of of snags and several false evidences.  But Amanda doesn't give up.

She knows the man in jail didn't do it and gets herself in trouble for snooping on a case that doesn't belong to her.

There is romance thrown in.  The murders make folks sad.

Will they find out who the killer is?
