The Land of Roar by Jenny McLachlan, Ben Mantle (Illustrated by)

When Arthur and Rose were little they visited a magical world and had a lot of fun.  They thought it wasn't real.

Harper Collins and Edelweiss allowed me to read this story for review (thank you).  It will be published  June 30th.

Arthur wanted to go there again but Rose didn't.  He's amazed when his grandpa uses the way they went.  He came out on the other side and then turned around and back in again.  This time he didn't come out. He went to their other world.  Arthur calls his sister and while she didn't want to go back, she agees.  They need to save their grandpa.

When they return they find things have changed.  The mean crowman has imprisoned their grandpa and intends to make him a scare crow filled with straw.  They have to save him!  But they find other people to help, too.

This is quite an adventure and you have all kids of strange creatures.  You even have a group of Lost Girls.  It's an enjoyable read middle graders will love.
