Have you ever had a birthday party for your dog? I have! So have the kids in the Banana Bunch club...
Blue Apple Books and Edelweiss allowed me to read this book for review (thank you). It will be published August 26th, so keep an eye out for it.
This is beginning chapter book and has lots of illustrations along with the text. It's not a long story, so early readers won't get impatient while reading it.
The dog loves his presents, his piece of cake, and the games they play. He's so impressed, he finds a lost ball they were missing to say thank you.

It's all good fun. Scruffy is silly looking and a typical dog. This is a great way to learn to read chapter books. Why not get a copy for your young one?
