The Wonderful Baron Doppelganger Device by Eric Bower, Agnieszka Grochalska

His parents are inventors and they create some doozie inventions!  When he tells his class about the inventions and the adventures they have, his teacher thinks he is lying.  He spends most of his time in the corner with the dunce hat on...

Amberjack Publishing and Edelweiss let me read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published March 6th.

This is written for middle grade readers and is silly enough to give them some laughs.  It will probably make them wish they had some of these devices to play with, too!

The Doppleganger Device can change anyone or anything into a copy of someone else.  But, if they try to change the real person, it will turn their skin inside out.  That doesn't sound pleasant, does it?

When WB meets a new boy at school, he's hoping for a new friend.  BW seems to like him and all is going well until the day of the fair.  Rose gets accused of making an exploding pie and she's WB's friend so he's worried about her.  He goes for walk and wakes up on a freight train.  He doesn't know how he got there but he's got to get off and go home!

He makes it home and then finds out he has a real problem.  He's already there...  Who got hold of the Doppleganger Device?
